A rim cylinder lock is the most commonly used domestic lock with a nightlatch. They generally come in finishes of brass, satin chrome and polished chrome.
Rim cylinder locks are commonly a replacement cylinder lock used on nightlatches. There are many different brands of cylinder each with varying levels of quality. The most common and best known is the Yale cylinder which is a standard key section.

The highest security cylinders are generally the ABUS Pfaffenhain, which are on our restricted profile key section.
They are supplied in 5, 10 and 15 pin (High Security). They can be keyed to differ, keyed alike or contained within a master key system.
